Pope Francis wrote an encyclical called Laudato Si’ in 2015 to express the urgency of our need to hear the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. He stresses the interconnectedness of the condition of the earth and that of the poor, showing how all living beings’ health and wellbeing are connected to the health of the earth’s ecosystems. A summary of Laudato Si’ can be found here.
The Care for Creation Team aims to gather support for the Laudato Si’ movement through education and action, creating awareness of our responsibility as Catholics to “Care for Creation”.
We generally meet the fourth Wednesday of the month from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Reardon Room of St. John Capistran Church.
