Sir Knight Douglas Derda, Grand Knight, South Hills Council 3084
The South Hills Council of the Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men’s organization dedicated to charity, faith, and service in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Founded in 1882, the Knights of Columbus is one of the largest Catholic charitable organizations in the world, built on the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.
Our council supports local parishes, Catholic schools, and families through hands-on service, pro-life and pro-family initiatives, faith formation programs, and community events. We proudly serve Resurrection Parish, St. Catherine Labouré Parish, St. Paul of the Cross Parish, and Our Lady of Hope Parish, while also supporting Catholic education at schools like Bishop Canevin High School, Seton LaSalle High School, and Ave Maria Academy.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM at St. John Capistran Church in Chepponis Hall. Practicing Catholic men aged 18+ are invited to join and make a meaningful impact in their parish and community.
